Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has affirmed the determination of his administration to partnering with National and Global Health experts for training and retraining of Health personnel of the state.

The Governor made this known at Kebbi Medical Centre Kalgo this Monday at a training workshop on HIV management, mental health and Oncology for Kebbi state health workers organized by the State Ministry of Health in collaboration with Johnson and Johnson West Africa.

He added that, the state would welcome World Health Scientists, Microbiologists, Medical professionals, global companies with knowledge and expertise to enable health personnel benefit from their experience.

Senator Atiku Bagudu commended his wife Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu who is an internationally recognized medical doctor for her contribution to mobilizing experts in the field of medicine to contribute to quality healthcare in Kebbi state.

The governor was also grateful to the state commissioner for health, his staff and other medical personnel in the state for their effort and commitment to ensuring effective health services to the people.

He expressed satisfaction about the paper presentation by international medical scholars and doctors.

In her remarks, through virtual address, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu commended her husband, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for his effort in promoting enabling environment for the conduct of the training workshop.

Dr. Zainab further commended officials of the state Ministry of Health for their effort in ensuring the training and retraining of health staff to perform optimally.

The state commissioner for health Hon. Ja’afar Mohammed thanked the Governor for prompt approval of all their request on training and other purposes.
