Construction work on Roads and Ultramodern Drainage Network in the State Capital is going on satisfactorily as disclosed during today’s inspection visit by the Director Civil Engineering of the State Ministry of works Engr Sahabi Muhammad Tillo and Senior Special Assistant New Media Shata Ne Awwal.
The project embarked upon by Kebbi State Government under the leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu is designed to arrest rampant occurances of floods in some parts of the State Capital and environs as well as increase access roads to Badariya settlement and other parts of the Township.
On completion, the project will divert water from Road 1 near Gari Malam and road 2 near Mansur Mansa House to converge on connecting Chamber and then passes though Cross Culvert that will be soon provided on Gari Malam Express Way links up with Church Road also in Badariya Area where Reinforced Concrete Drainage converges water from tributeries passing through to empty at Bulasa axis .
The terminating Pond at Bulasa will serve dual purposes of catering for animals and irrigation.
The Drainage project is part of the ongoing roads network construction (comprising of Road 1, 2 and Churches Road) linking them directly to IBB Way in the State Capital.
Also inspected today was a similar road and drainage Construction at Shiyar Sarakuna and Junju Area all in the State Capital.
In his comments at the sites, Project Manager Mr Ali assured that the execution of the project is going on in accordance with contracts specifications, quality and required standards.
