The Kebbi State chapter of NAWE paid a courtesy visit to the Kebbi state First Lady Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu to congratulate her on her re-election as a board member of the UICC and express their gratitude and support to Her Excellency’s effort in elevating the status of women in the State.

The association was led by the Kebbi State Director, Hajiya Saratu Mera who gave a brief history of NAWE and also informed Her Excellency of the upcoming Women Entrepreneur Summit and Expo 2020 schedule to take place in Birnin Kebbi from the 12th to 14th of November 2020.

In her remarks, The First Lady expressed her gratitude and thanked them for their support. She also promised to provide the necessary support the association requires and appreciated NAWE Kebbi State for planning what she described as a “great and innovative event that will inspire women to be self reliant”
She also tasked Haj Memuna Suleiman, SSA to the Governor on empowerment to ensure the success of the event.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the letter of nomination of Her Excellency as the Amazon of NAWE Kebbi State Chapter as well as her membership sash.
