NCWS DISTRIBUTES PALLIATIVES TO LESS PRIVILEGED IN KEBBI

The National Council of Women’s Societies of Nigeria on Friday 18/12/2020 commenced the distribution of food palliatives to the indigent and persons living with disabilities in Kebbi state.

The palliatives which are being distributed across the nation by respective state chapters aims to assist people living with disabilities, the homeless, orphans and the elderly with food materials to ease their struggles.

In light of this, The First lady of kebbi state, H.E Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu who is the state grand matron of the council gave her support by donating 100% additional items.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony, the president of the council, Haj Balkisu Atunne Danga said the council is very appreciative of the support it always enjoys from the wife of the Governor. She stated that the Kebbi chapter is one that enjoys utmost support from the government due to the effort of the first lady. “This is a sign of her commitment to assisting the needy” she said.

 

The president thanked the first lady for assisting to ensure that the distribution makes the intended impact and for carrying the NCWS along.

Items distributed include rice, maize, beans, cooking oil, salt and hand sanitizers.
