Kebbi Flood: Aisha Buhari Donates Items to Affected Communities

People affected by the recent flooding in Koko Besse Local Government, yesterday received donation of relief materials from the First Lady of Nigeria, Dr Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari.

The donation which was presented through her Foundation “the Future Assured Initiative” featured the
Presentation of items to the people of the Local Government in 8 camps in different places.

During the occasion, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hajiya Maimuna Sulaiman conveyed a message of hope from Dr Aisha Muhammadu Buhari to all the people affected by the disaster and prayed Allah to prevent future occurrence.

It could be recalled that the First Lady’s interventions began on the 19th of September, 2020 in Bagudo, Kalgo, and Birnin Kebbi Local Governmnt Areas.

Chairman of Koko Besse Local Government, Alhaji Yahaya Bello Koko who was physically present during the donation exercise thanked the wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari for the gesture.

 

He explained that Samanaji village is mostly affected in the area. Alhaji Yahaya said the Local Government has provided clean drinking water and other items in the 10 IDP camps provided Local Government tothe affected people.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke expressed their profound gratitude to the mother of the Nation for coming to their aid at this trying time and offered special prayers for her, President Buhari, Kebbi state Government and the nation.
