Kebbi female farmers benefit from the Agricultural ICT skills training from the National Center for Women Development (NCWD)
The National Center For Women Development has trained 100 female farmers in Agro related information and communications technology (ICT) to boost their productivity. 3 female farmers selected from Kebbi were fully sponsored by the state government on the week long workshop.
The lucky beneficiaries of the program are, Fatima Muhammed Saidu from Zuru, Kulu Shehu from Gwandu, and Hauwa Ahmad from Argungu LGAs. The training in Abuja focused on equipping the women with the requisite skills to leverage the emerging social media marketing after which the women were certified and supported with a cash gift and a laptop computer each.
The 3 participants paid a courtesy call to Dr Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu at the end of the course last weekend. Speaking on behalf of the women, Miss Fatima extended their gratitude to the governor of Kebbi State Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and his wife, Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu for their thoughtful plans which always aim at improving financial independence and ensuring that women in kebbi are carried along in any growth driven program from the Federal government.
Meanwhile, Special Adviser to the Governor of Kebbi state on women and social development, Hon Zahrau Wali has congratulated the women whilst encouraging them to remain hardworking and practice the skills learnt.
Hon. Wali commended the efforts of the Governor of Kebbi state H.E Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and his wife H.E Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu for their rejuvenating efforts to improve the standard of living by ensuring that the government always gives the best to its people.
