The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has commended the bold steps taken by President Muhammadu Buhari in saving the soul of the party from eminent collapse in the wake of the crises rocking the party.

President Buhari was particularly commended by the party in Kebbi for convening NEC meeting and the decision to dissolve the National Working Committee of the party and constitute a caretaker Committee under the leadership of Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni to steer the affairs of the party.

The Chairman of the state chapter of the party Architect Bala Sani Kangiwa flanked by the party’s publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sani Dododo and Alhaji Ali Bature, Financial Secretary made the commendation during a press conference in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday, 27th, June,2020

He also extolled the role played by the All Progressive Governors under the able leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu who according to him had worked tirelessly towards getting the problems of the party sorted out.

Kangiwa averred “I will want to on behalf of the exco and entire membership of of Kebbi APC thanked God and President Muhammdu Buhari for accepting to hold the NEC meeting in Abuja.

” The leadership role he played in getting us out of the problem must be commended , I also thanked the Progressive Governor’s Forum under the able leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State for his leadership role in helping to save the party.

” If you can recall, Governor Bagudu led his colleagues on several visits to the leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the then National chairman of the party ,Comrade Adams Oshimole before finally meeting the President,”” he said.

Kangiwa predicted that,with the constitution of National Caretaker Committee, the ruling party would emerge victorious in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Edo and Ondo states respectively.

He reiterated that the leadership roles played by President Muhammadu Buhari,the Progressives Governor’s Forum Chairman , Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu which culminated in restoring unity and peace in the party.

“We are now by the grace of God, intact and we are going into our winning ways. And hopefully, we are going to win ,insha Allahu, the two elections that are ahead of us, that is Edo gubernatorial election and that of Ondo state.

” We have confidence in the leadership of the National Caretaker’s Committee constituted, and we pray ,honestly, they are going to succeed in the next six months they are going to organize the emergency National Convention to elect new leadership of the party “.

Kangiwa also appealed to all members of the party, nationwide and Kebbi State, to cooperate with the National Caretaker’s Committee under the Chairmanship of Yobe State Governor, Buni.

” Let me appeal to all members of the party in Kebbi and nationwide to please,cooperate with the Caretaker Committee under the leadership of Governor Mai Mana Buni to enable the Committee succeed .

In the same vein, the Publicity Secretary of the party in Kebbi State, Alhaji Sani Dododo also described the effort of Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu under the umbrella of Progressive Governor’s Forum as commendable.

Dododo said the plausible steps adopted by Governor Bagudu in addressing the party”s crises had yielded positive results in ensuring the best way out of the quagmire for the party .
