H.E Dr Zainab Bagudu on Monday, 9/11/2020 visited the Kalgo Medical Center where she inspected the new Chemotherapy ward, laboratory and radiology diagnostic center. The CMD Dr Abubakar Bature Koko led the entourage round.

Similarly, she visited the Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital where she inspected the new wards including the Dr Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu pediatric ward named after her.

She also used the opportunity to check on Jibril Aliyu, the boy who has since the emergence of his abuse story, been in the care of the CMD Dr Aminu Bunza.

Dr Bagudu expressed her delight with the state of the hospitals, the management, and praised the priority the state government under the leadership of H.E Sen Abubakar Atiku Bagudu accords to the infrastructural development of the hospitals.

The inspection comes as Kebbi state prepares to formally launch its Cancer control plan this week.

Thereafter, the first lady paid a condolence visit to the family of Alh Altine Shugaba who lost a grandson that evening. The deceased also happens to be a nephew to an aide of the Governor, Hassan Altine. The entourage prayed Allah’s mercy for the 1 year old and solace for the family.
