The All Progressives Congress’ Presidential Candidate in next year’s general elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Osun Central Senator and Senate’s Spokesperson, Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru, on his 50th birthday celebration.

Tinubu in a personal statement said “Senator Suraju Ajibola Basiru has not only demonstrated vast judicial knowledge being a lawyer of great standing, but has also shown uncommon sagacity in politics. He is, without a doubt, one of our very best in the present Senate. It is no surprise he is today the spokesman of that hallowed red chamber…”

In the same vein, The Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola described Senator Basiru as an outstanding ambassador of Osun State and prayed whose life has marked series of accomplishments.”

Other notable Nigerians across the country who felicitated with the former Commissioner for Justice, Osun State and current Senator representing Osun Central include Asiwaju Khamis Olatunde, who described SRJ, as he is fondly called, “as an illustrious son of Osogbo and a shiny light”.

His colleague in the Senate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, Justice Adeigbe, Dr. Mubarak Adekilekun, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, Prof. Ademola Abass and Mr. Remi Ibitola also had glowing words for the Doctor of Laws and Senator, while also praying for long life for him on his golden jubilee.
