COMPULSORY MEASURES TO CURTAIL THE SPREAD OF CONVID-19: CIVIL SERVANTS TO STAY AT HOME

In a bid to curtail the spread of Corona Virus (Convid-19) in the Country, the Kebbi State Government has further taken proactive measures to protect its citizens, a task force has been set up to deal with the scourge.

As part of the these measures, His Excellency, the Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has directed that all category of civil servants with exception of those mentioned below are to remain and work from home with effect from Wednesday 25th March, 2020. This is for an initial two weeks.

The directive for civil servants to stay at home was signed by the Acting Head of Civil Service Hajiya Fatima Sani Ango in a document dated 24/3/2020.

This directive, however, does not include those civil servants on essential services such as; Health Personnel, Financial Institutions, Board of Internal Revenue, Water Board, Media outfits, Electricity Supply, Security and Emergency Service Sectors are exempted from the directive.

The Governor requests that citizens to remain vigilant, calm and report any suspected case to the health authorities.
